Say Your Sorry by Karen Rose

What I am reading now

I really love Karen Rose’s books and I have read every single one. I think I enjoy them so much because I know exactly what I am going to get. There is a serial killer, there is a main character or character’s whose lives become interwoven in the course of finding this serial killer, either because they are a target, or they are law enforcement (or in some way the good guy) and there is a love story. They are the perfect story of good verses bad where you are rooting for the good guys all the way and praying no one is seriously injured or killed till all the pieces fit together and they work out who the killer is and how to stop them.

Karen Rose hooks you by getting you invested in the lives of her main characters. Many you will meet time and again in different books and revisit their lives as new stories unfold. She is also brilliant at drawing you into the serial killers life and understanding their motivations, needs and desires of these people driven to extremes.

I particularly enjoyed Say Your Sorry because I loved delving inside the mind of this killer; he was such a fascinating and believable character. His motivation to kill was explained and justified expertly, his actions coherent and logical. There were so many fast paced plot twists with other side stories interceding the main story. I hope Karen uses theses threads to create more stories with the other main characters in the future. It was a book that I couldn’t put down until the killer had been brought to justice and I enjoyed it immensely.
